How to make strawberry matcha

So we HAD to try make a strawberry matcha latte - and it just so turns out to be our favourite recipe to make at home to date!

Strawberry Matcha Latte 🍓🍵

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup (100g) fresh strawberries (or frozen, thawed)
  • 1-2 tablespoons sugar (adjust to taste)
  • ¼ cup (60ml) water
  • ½ cup (120ml) milk (dairy or non-dairy like oat, almond, or coconut)
  • 1 teaspoon Good Matcha organic powder
  • ¼ cup (60ml) hot water (175°F/80°C)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions:

  1. Make Strawberry Purée:
    • Mash or blend strawberries with sugar and ¼ cup water until smooth.
    • Pour into a glass as the first layer.
  2. Add Ice & Milk:
    • Fill the glass with ice, then pour in ½ cup milk or Yakult over the strawberry layer.
  3. Prepare Matcha:
    • Whisk 1 teaspoon matcha powder with ¼ cup hot water until smooth and frothy.
    • (Use a matcha whisk, milk frother, or shake in a jar.)
  4. Pour & Serve:
    • Gently pour the matcha over the milk layer for a beautiful ombré effect.
    • Stir before drinking and enjoy!

Tips & Variations:

  • Make it creamier: Use half-and-half or add a splash of sweetened condensed milk.
  • Sweeter? Drizzle in honey or vanilla syrup.
  • Iced or hot: Skip the ice for a cozy warm version.
